Scrap Handling
Scrap Lifting Magnet
Copper-wound electromagnet, 1650–2400 mm, for lifting ferrous scrap with cranes and excavators.
Overview
The scrap magnet is an electromagnet for lifting and transporting ferrous materials such as iron and steel. Mounted on cranes, excavators or other heavy machinery, it is switched and controlled by the operator.
Its magnetic field attracts ferrous scrap to the lifting face, so operators can lift, move and place several tonnes of material in a single pass.
